THE HYUNDAI occupies the third floor of Tokyu Plaza Omotesando<\/a>, the building known as Omokado, on the Jing\u016bmae crossing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The floor is split into fashion, homeware, accessories and a caf\u00e9. The design borrows from the basement of THE HYUNDAI SEOUL, the Yeouido flagship that fills everyone’s feed, so if you know that space this will read as a smaller repeat of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Of the nine sections, seven are permanent and two are rotating bays. Hyundai has been explicit about the intent: the store is a launch pad for Korean brands entering Japan. Come back in three months and two of the bays will be different shops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It is not a true department store. This is one floor, closer to a curated concept space than to Isetan, so going in expecting seven floors of Seoul will disappoint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Names that have actually moved stock since opening:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The pattern worth noticing: it is bags and eyewear that sell out, not clothing. Saturday afternoon is the worst, and Omotesando is busy regardless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If a weekend is your only option, go at 11:00 rather than after lunch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The other factor is stock. Popular bags and eyewear have sold out within days of landing, and the rotating bays change with little notice. Check the store’s Instagram, @the_hyundai_jp<\/a>, on the morning you go rather than relying on a listing written weeks earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The building now holds a second international flagship. Google Store Omotesando opened on the ground floor on 13 August 2026, the day after the Pixel 11 launch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It carries the new Pixel phones and Nest home devices, runs interactive demos of the AI features, and offers in-person support and on-site Pixel repair. That last one is the genuinely useful part: a Pixel hardware repair shop in the middle of the city.
